Amped sr300 setup – The Amped Wireless High-Power Wireless-300N Smart Access Point (AP300) uses internet software (firmware) to operate as is the case with all networking devices like amped wireless routers and amped wireless range extenders.
It is highly recommended to not to interrupt the firmware upgrade process by powering off the smart access point device or disconnecting wireless network to avoid damage to the Wireless Smart Access Point (AP300). To check for any new firmware versions released, click on the Check button on the firmware update page following setup.ampedwireless.com login. If a new firmware is available for your Amped Wireless High-Power Wireless-300N Smart Access Point (AP300), you will be given the option to install.
To manually upgrade your Amped Wireless-300N Smart Access Point (AP300) firmware:
- Download the latest firmware file for Amped Wireless-300N Smart Access Point (AP300) from the http://www.ampedwireless.com/support website and save it on your computer’s desktop.
Note: The Firmware files are zipped files normally having a .bin file extension and require to be unzipped for uploading during the firmware update process.
- Open a web browser on your computer connected successfully to the Amped Wireless-300N Smart Access Point (AP300) wireless network through wired connection using Ethernet cable or wirelessly over Wi-Fi using the default wireless network settings of the Amped Wireless-300N Smart Access Point (AP300).
- To access the amped wireless dashboard or the settings menu of the Amped Wireless-300N Smart Access Point (AP300), perform Amped wireless login:
- Enter setup.ampedwireless.com in the address bar of the web browser for logging into the Amped Wireless-300N Smart Access Point (AP300) web menu.
- If the amped wireless web menu fails to open via setup.ampedwireless.com for Amped Wireless-300N Smart Access Point (AP300) login, try using the default login IP address http://192.168.1.240 for successful login as the IP addresses redirect successfully to the web menu page.
- You will be prompted to enter the default amped wireless router login details for Amped Wireless-300N Smart Access Point (AP300) login via setup.ampedwireless.com.
- Enter the default amped wireless router login username as ‘admin as well as default amped wireless router login password as ‘admin’ in the dialog box that pops up.
- You will reach the settings page or dashboard of the Amped Wireless-300N Smart Access Point (AP300).
- Click on More Settings option on the Amped Wireless-300N Smart Access Point (AP300) dashboard’s left panel.
- Click on Management option followed by selecting the Upgrade Firmware option.
- On the firmware upgrade page, Click on Choose File or Browse option for Amped Wireless-300N Smart Access Point (AP300) manual firmware upgrade process.
- Click Browse to locate the saved firmware file.
- Click Upload to begin firmware update.
- Locate the downloaded zip file that you saved on your computer earlier and highlight it to open it.
- Click on Upload to begin manual firmware upgrading of your Amped Wireless-300N Smart Access Point (AP300).
After the completion of the firmware update, Amped Wireless-300N Smart Access Point (AP300) will reboot and restart reaching the setup.ampedwireless.com login page.
